The need to measure dissolved oxygen is widespread throughout industry
and academia with analyses being made on many diverse sample types, from
blood to boiler feed water. Rank Brothers supply a range of Dissolved
Oxygen Electrodes suitable for both routine and research
applications.

For over twenty years Rank Brothers has worked with leading scientists
in many fields to develop and evolve a comprehensive range of equipment
and accessories for oxygen measurement. During that time thousands of
instruments have been supplied throughout the world for routine
monitoring, research and teaching.

The Model 300 Magnetic Stirrer is a motorless stirrer operated by
generating a rotating electromagnetic field in the stirring heads. The
liquid is mixed by immersing a magnetised stirring bar in it, this is
rotated by the magnetic field produced in the heads.

The Model AET100 is designed to test the stability of water-based
agrochemical emulsions which are widely used in pest control. The
turbidity fluctuation analysis technique can quickly and precisely
characterise emulsions. This brings significant benefits to testing in the
development of new formulations and the quality of manufactured
emulsifiable concentrate products.

The Photometric Dispersion Analyser (PDA2000) is a simple, rugged, but
very sensitive monitor for flowing suspensions and emulsions, based on a
new optical technique developed at University College
London.

The Micro Electrophoresis Apparatus will determine the electrophoretic
mobility of a wide range of suspended particles. It has a wide and
established user base in all fields where flocculation, dispersion and
surface adhesion are important parameters to control.

The Rank Brothers Charge Analyser II is a completely automatic
polyelectrolytic titrator. The system is microprocessor controlled giving
the operator a user friendly interface. Polyelectrolytic titration enables
determination of ionic charges of polymers in solution and surface charges
of colloids.

The Photometer Cell has been designed to enhance the Charge Analyser II
by offering an alternative method of performing the polyelectrolytic
titration. The CAII
originally used a streaming current cell to detect the isoelectric point
of the titration, however it is now possible to carry out a photometric
titration using Toluidine blue indicator to detect the end point.

The Rank Brothers Electrochemical Processor is comprised of a
Potentiostat and a Galvanostat, which can be used for controlled potential
and controlled current microelectrode techniques. The two circuits are
completely separate enabling them to be used simultaneously. |

CNC Transfer is easy to use software for Windows
that enables the download of programs from a CNC to a
PC using a serial cable. It
will display programs in a window on the PC and allow
them to be edited. It allows programs to be stored in an organised manner
along with full machine setup details. (Requires a PC
running Windows 3.1 or above.)
